At times they offer 60% discount as well on Childrens' books, as was the case with Harry Potter box set.

 

I already had all the HP novels. So that wasn't useful for me. Last time I bought some nice ones when they had the 40% off offer. Hope there are good ones this time

 

I had brought HP box set for 1977, now it was available for just 1300.

Just pray they also keep this offer on tomorrow if you are buying some books

I agree that offer was a really good one. I was tempted (but resisted the temptation) to buy the HP box set. I already have all the HP books (bought for a total of 500 or lesser over a period of 6 years from the streets when I was in Bangalore). Was kicking myself that I bought the 4 book LOTR @999, 2 months earlier. It was available for 750 in the sale you mentioned

 

And regarding LOTR, you could get The Hobbit as well by paying only Rs. 70 extra(The four book set). Others have stopped offering huge discounts, Flipkart is back as the store with best offers.

 

Yes, I bought the 4 book one (http://www.flipkart.com/hobbit-lord-rings-set-4-books/p/itmczyych6gkphcu) which includes The Hobbit. I waited for 3 months till the price came down to 999 & then bought it. Should have waited a little longer and got it for 750 (was the price 2 days back)

 

This is the worst feeling that you get when you see the price drop the next day after you buy something
