How to check for repost

Now-a-days we are seeing that a lot of new members are trying to post deals. We really appreciate the efforts made by them and also a very warm welcome to all of them to our happy community . Enjoy your stay here.

But there are several things which must be kept in mind while posting a new deal.

1. We know that when you find a very good deal , you are very excited to share it with your fellow members. But before directly posting the deal, there is a must need to check whether the same deal has not posted by some other member means that you are not posting a repost .

How to check for repost-

For eg - You want to post HP Omni 10 Tablet (WiFi) deal at amazon with link - http://www.amazon.in/HP-Omni-10-Tablet-WiFi/dp/B00IWLERZI , so what you need to do is to enter the link in the search box on the top right corner . This has been shown in the screenshot below.



Now enter the link in this search box - See the screenshot



Click on the search button , a list will be displayed . See whether there are any search results with posted date 15 days or less . If yes then Oops, somebody else has already posted the deal and you should not post the same deal now. However if the search results are more than 15 days old, then you are ready to post the deal.

See below what i got by searching -


In the search results there were two results, one of 29 apr ( more than 15 days ) and one just created today ( less than 15 days) . This means that i can't post the deal otherwise it would become a repost.

However if there was no 1st result and there was only 29 april's thread, then for sure you could have gone ahead and posted the deal without any problems as 29 april is more than 15 days past today.

Prefer to search with deal link most of the times , if you don't get any result then search using the coupon code if any in your deal, if still there is no recent result then you can go and post your deal.

Tip - Always mention coupon code in the text also while creating a thread not just in the picture as it helps in checking of repost.

See below, our user has mentioned the coupons in written also in addition to their presence in the picture. This is very useful in checking repost as if the user would not have done so and you would have tried searching coupon code then there would have been no results in the search results list and you would have thought that okk this is not posted by anybody but you would have been mistaken. But now since coupons are mentioned in written, when you would have searched using coupon, you would have got results and understood that this is a repost....
