Because You Loved Me describes the journey of Ritesh Garg, in winning his love back. Like all 10th standard students Ritesh, has to face his board exams, but he pursues something else which he desires more than his exams. The story set in 2009. and though all his friends are thinking of the board exams, Ritesh couldn’t give up on the struggle of getting the love of his life, Aarushi. The story occurs in urban India. Ritesh is head over heels for the girl, but Aarushi’s feelings towards him remains a mystery. The story is about the first love that happens to almost everyone, in the early stages of their life. Other than Ritesh and Aarushi, there also other characters who influence Ritesh’s chase for Aarushi. Aryan is Aarushi’s brother, and he wants his sister to be happy. At the same time, he wants Ritesh to be miserable. Aarushi’s mother Radhika wants her daughter to focus completely on her board exams, so that she scores high and gets a science group seat. She feels there shouldn’t be any distractions for Aarushi, Radhika especially doesn’t want Ritesh to become a part of her daughter’s life. Ritesh goes through all sorts of problems to get his love.
