‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ is one amongst many stories that describe the injustices that slavery created. This story is however, written in the most unique styles and tells quite simple, of how a man who stood for good is strong enough to overcome a set-in-stone mentality. This Pulitzer Prize winning book is an evergreen classic and has touched the hearts of people across all ages and geographical boundaries. At the heart of it, it is a simple story of good over evil – of those who wish to ensure justice is served over those whose hatred is blind and ignorant.
The story is set in a small town in Alabama, and the main characters include two children – Scout, her friend Dill and her father. Scout’s father is an attorney who is defending a black man who has been wrongly accused of raping a white woman.
