specs wise mmx but build quality wise moto e. snapdragon processor is much better than mediatek. you won't feel lags in dual core snapdragon 200 but you can in mediatek's quad core. screen size is bigger in mmx but resolution is low, win some lose some. its more to do with mix of hardware and how you use software these days. those who pay attention in quality wins. Samsung for example fits best quality hardware, karbonn or lava can also provide the same using low cost parts at cheaper price but build quality may be bad. Motorola has thousands of patents which also includes how and where things are to be placed. other company can't provide such small but effective thing. there moto wins. 1 year later you'll have enough devs around the world playing with moto e and giving updates if moto or lenovo stops but unite 2 can't be sure there also moto e wins. grab moto, specs on paper are great for many unknown Chinese brands too that costs 3k in local market. will you buy them? edit - you already have bought moto! great.
