Ayurveda recommends storing water overnight in a copper jug and drinking it first thing in the morning for maintaining good health. The water stored this way is called 'Tamra Jal' and it helps to balance all three doshas (Kapha, Vata and Pitta.)
The metal copper has electromagnetic energy which is called Prana Shakti.

About this product:
Seller initially send me a defective product with handle broken but promptly replaces the faulty one with brand new one.
To wash the copper jug one has to use lemon juice with salt also you can refer videos in YouTube for a proper maintenance.
This particular copper jug stores around 1.6 litres of water.
Only problem is the handle... It's kind of delicate not sturdy so bit of care is required.
It works silently for a good health. Consume it twice per day for a full glass of water. Early morning and evening. That's Enough.
Let's eliminate plastic menace from our life. Use steel, copper, glass utensils for better health.

One of the worst experience and worst product. Its not at all genuine copper. People please stay away from these cheats. I used them for the benefit of copper for couple of days with water and tulsi in it as suggested it had medical benefits but I fell seriously ill with bad stomach upset and infection. Not only me, I bought one more of the same product and gave it to my parents and brother, and to my dismay all in the family fell ill within couple of days of consuming water from this vessel. If it was only me and only product I could be wrong, it affected everyone whom I bought this product for. I dont think its a genuine copper. Some 3rd grade metal or has copper coating. I then checked into one of the domestic and authentic stores here and I found a small palm sized copper pot itself costed Rs. 2800 which was a genuine one. These are cheats who take a toll on your health. The vessel changed color and became blackish within 2-3 days of use with water storage. Please stay away from this fraudulent product and save your health.

We have been using it for a few weeks and have noticed a very significant difference in the ahem .. morning. There is a very slight coppery taste to the water - but I believe it is good for you. Best to drink several glasses of this water (only) in the morning on an empty stomach and drink your regular water during the rest of the day. Also keep the jug filled. If you leave it with very little water, the copper taste is much stronger. Note that being made of copper - it requires maintenance.

So need to maintain it regularly. Since its hammered, the quality and thickness seems to be nice. Overall satisfied with this jug.

The product on arrival already had green oxidized spots on it and the finish of the product looks horrible. One of the handle joints on the inside was sealed with some loose glue which came off just like that and that joint is leaking. I had ordered for the same product before about a month ago, and that particular jug had arrived in excellent condition, and looked worth the price. But sadly the ones that arrived this time are just not good at all.
